Today we are continuing to look back at 2008 English slang posts – the best of and also look at themes that we have looked at.  For those who are new to Loveslang, you get to find some slang classics, and for my regular readers it is a chance to review your English slang.  You know the way to speak English fluently and to use vocab is to review often (sadly! I wish it just stuck in your brain always!).

Let’s look back at all the slang vocabulary we studied in 2008 about Orgasms!  There sure was enough!!  Women’s orgasms, men’s orgasms, viagra!

これは”coming やってくる”という言葉をうまく使ったセックスショップの面白いCMです。

このビデオの最後に”Christmas is coming(クリスマスがやってくる)”と出てきますが、これには2つの違う意味があります。普通に”クリスマスが近づいてきた” という意味と、このCMの最後を見ても明らかですが、このセックスショップのバイブをクリスマスにプレゼントとしてもらえば”オーガズムが体験できる(やってくる)”という意味です。

英語訳：Here is a funny ad for a sex shop with a play on words for “coming”.

They say “Christmas is coming” which of course has two meanings.  Christmas is coming up soon.  Or as this as shows, Christmas means coming (orgasming) with the right present!

今回の”セックスアンドザシティー”ビデオクリップの中でサマンサは彼女の彼氏との間に少し問題があり、それを女友だちに相談しています。そこまでは良いのですが、その相談の内容がお昼にレストランで話すようなものではなかったため(すごく汚い話題だったので)、シャーロットは我慢できず、その場を去ってしまいました

色んな方法で男性のオーガズムcome(イクこと)は表現できます。サマンサは一般的なスラング comeを使っていましたね。それに加えshot his wadとも言っていましたね。これは男性の射精だけに使えるフレーズです。

キャリーは私の中でもお気に入りの愛情を表現できるフレーズ、Sweetieをシャーロットに対して使っていましたね。

英語訳：There are many ways to say come, particularly for ejaculation for men.  Samantha gives the general  slang word for orgasm “come” and she also uses “shot his wad” which is only used for male ejaculation.

Carrie uses one of my favorite words, the endearment “Sweetie” – I call everyone Sweetie!

We’ll look at more of this video next week as well as there is some great slang in this clip!

最近怒ったり怒鳴ったりする時に使うswearwords(俗語・隠語)についてばかり触れていたので、私の一番のお気に入りのトピック、”SEX”にそろそろ戻ってもいい頃かな～と思っています。何個か海外ドラマ”Sex and the City” の中で英語学習に役立ちそうなシーンを見つけたのでまたここで紹介していきたいと思います。その前にそのビデオクリップの中で使われている英単語について先に学習しておきましょう♪

私はいつも「不思議だな～」と思っていたのですが、英語ではオーガズム(又はオルガズム)に達する瞬間、come(くる)と言いますが、日本語ではその逆の“イク”(go)を使いますよね。なぜでしょうか??

今日はオーガズム(オルガズム)に達したときなんと言うのか考えてみましょう!　一番一般的な言い方は”come”です。

come/cumの意味 イク ＊comeはcumとも書くことができます。

●動詞として使う場合:

to come / to cum - イク、オーガズムに達する、オーガズムを経験する to have an orgasm
例) I’m coming! イキそう!　イクイク!!　　I came. イッた。

●come/cum: 名詞としても使えます。この場合、男性の精子という意味になります。It is also used as a noun – meaning the man’s sperm
例) He has a lot of come. 彼は精子がたくさんある。

We’ve been talking about swearwords so much, I haven’t been writing about my favorite topic: sex!  So better get back to it.  I have some good Sex and the City posts coming up so I will write about some of the topics in them.

I always thought it funny that in English when we orgasm we say “come” but in Japanese it is “go”.

So today let’s look at orgasms and how to say it!  The most common way to say that you have had an orgasm is to use “come”
