    1. 本来、Bitchとはメス犬のことを指します。　でも、今では怒りを込めて女の人を呼ぶ時のスラングとして使われています。（このビデオの中で使われているみたいに）

    2. また、この単語は人使いの悪い、男性を困らせるような女性と言う意味もあります。ビッチである事を逆に誇りに思っている女性もたまにいるようです。そして”being a bitch”“ビッチでいる”事をジョークに使ったりもするようです。このように言えます。

    “I was such a bitch to John last night.”　「昨晩ジョンを困らせちゃった～」

    3. 最後に、文句を言いたい時、動詞のbitchが使えます。

    “She was bitching me about being late.”　「彼女は私が遅刻した事に対して文句言ってくるの」

    スラング “to fuck” は動詞で、”セックスをする” と言う意味になり、英語の会話の中で何通りかの使い方ができます。＊非常に乱暴な言い方ですので注意して使ってください。

    TV 今回のSex and the Cityビデオクリップからは“transsexuals(性転換者)”という単語を紹介したいと思います。サマンサはこのビデオの中で”tranny“(transsexualの略称バージョン)のことをシャーロットに“おちんちんは残っているのにおっぱいが付いている人のことよ”と説明していますね。なかなか想像しがたいと思うのですが、このビデオの中にも出てきている、サマンサのアパートの下でうるさく騒いでいる人たちはつまりゲイなんだけど、100%男性の体ではなく、胸を手術でつけており、でもペニスは残しているといった”tranny”なのです。ちょっとここには画像は載せられませんが…あせあせこの単語をYahooなどの検索エンジンで検索すればそう人たちの写真が出てきますので興味のある方は見てみて下さい☆

    今の時代、男性・女性だけではなくオカマ、オナベ、ゲイ、レズなどなど色々なタイプの人がいますよね。英語ではなんと言えばいいのでしょうか?

    こないだ、休暇を利用して、友人とニューヨークへ遊びに行ってきましたexclamation ×2

    ニューヨークに来て、やっぱり見逃せないのは、Sex and the City の撮影で頻繁に登場した、“ショッピングのメッカ、五番街 (Fifth Avenue)”指でOK

    超高級ブティックからカジュアル有名ブランドまでが目白押しの五番街。歩いていると、道の両サイドに、ティファニー本店、ルイ・ヴィトン、シャネル、コーチ、プラダ、グッチ、フェラガモ、バーバリー、エルメスなどの高級ブランド店、バーグドルフグッドマン、サックス、ヘンリーベンデルなどのデパート、アバクロ、Ｈ＆Ｍ、ギャップ、バナナリパブリックなどのカジュアル店、お隣のマジソン街 (Madison Avenue) には、ポロやジバンシー、カルバンクライン、ＤＫＮＹなどが並んでいます。

    いつもよりおしゃれをして、ウィンドウショッピングをしていると、気分はサラ・ジェシカ・パーカーぴかぴか（新しい）(笑)。

    頭上にそびえ立つ、ロックフェラーセンター、黄金に輝くトランプタワー。
    近代的な町並みの中に、歴史と威厳をたたえてたたずむ、セント・パトリック教会 (St. Patrick’s Cathedral)。
    Sex and the Cityの映画で、キャリーの結婚式場に使われた、ニューヨーク市立図書館 (New York Public Library)も素敵でしたムード。

    さすが、流行の発信地、ニューヨーク。街行く人々は、最新の秋物のブーツ、コート、帽子に身を包んでさっそうと歩いています。是非、冬のニューヨークも見てみたいものです!!
